Our Pastor
PASTOR ALAN W. GUMM
Pastor Alan W. Gumm graduated from the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1980.
He was ordained in July of 1980 and has served at:
St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hazelton, North Dakota
St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kekoskee (Mayville), Wisconsin
Christ Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gillette, Wyoming
Prince of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Yuma, Arizona
Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Chicago, Illinois
He was installed, here at Bethany, on February 19, 2017 and we are extremely grateful for the years of experience that he has brought with him.
Pastor Gumm has taken on the responsibility of a "Dual Parish" as he is also the pastor of Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church in Port Charlotte. He conducts worship service here at 8:30 am and then travels to Port Charlotte to conduct a 10:30 am worship service there!
He and his wife Carolyn have four children (three sons and one daughter) and nine grandchildren.
