About Us

Worship at Bethany

At Bethany, we believe that we worship God not by doing something for him or by telling people how they are supposed to live. We worship God by proclaiming his mighty deeds for us demonstrated in the person and work of Jesus Christ. So Sunday morning worship typically includes songs, prayers, and readings from the Bible along with a message that points us to our victory in Jesus. In worship, we also admit our failure to trust God and love one another the way we should followed by God's decree to remember our sin no more in Jesus' name.

In some worship services, members celebrate the Lord's Supper. We and all other churches in the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Syod practice "close communion." For an explanation concerning this practice, please contact our Pastor.

We encourage parents and other caretakers to bring children to worship since Jesus always invited them to know him as their Savior and Friend. We have a brief children's message in each worship service and a quiet room if you become concerned that they are too fidgety. We want everyone to feel welcome.

God doesn't have a rulebook for how we should dress except to consider whether our "style" might distract fellow worshipers. Some people dress formally, others a little less formal. The important thing isn't what you wear but that you are there.

Sunday Morning Worship Time: 8:30 am
